I work at Newcastle University.
My research uses structural and diffusion MRI to study human brain networks. I am particularly interested in how reliably these methods measure brain structure, what we can infer from them, and how they can help us understand neurodegeneration.
My research interests include:
- Structural brain networks: structural covariance, microstructural similarity, and white matter pathways measured with multimodal MRI.
- Reliable neuroimaging methods: measurement validity, head motion and other confounds, statistical power, and simulation-based validation, supported by open data and reproducible analysis.
- Neurodegeneration and cognition: changes in medial temporal lobe networks in Alzheimer’s disease and mild cognitive impairment, and their relationship to cognitive impairment.
